For Parents and Teachers

The purpose of Quest for Compassion is to educate your children about global poverty and help them develop a heart for the poor around the world. When children understand poverty, they grow into compassionate adults.

You can help too!

  • We encourage you to accompany your child and/or students on this journey around the world. Use this site and the resources provided as a launching pad for conversations with your children about God's heart for the poor.

To get started, download our study guide and start using it together. You and your child will learn about poverty in four different countries. Together, you can:

    1. 1. Explore the different countries and cultures
    2. 2. Take It Deeper with conversation starters on sometimes difficult topics
    3. 3. Make It Real with activities to do together

Working to end poverty takes knowledge and compassion. This guide helps you teach both. Pray with your children and/or students for those living in poverty around the world.

You can also read this book together: A Country Far Away, by Nigel Gray, illustrated by Philippe Dupasquier. It is a wonderful children's book that allows kids to compare and contrast two very different cultures.
